This was the first KOC tab I tried to do all those years ago in 2001. Nice memories....
But all this time I knew that something wasn't right with it. I had tried everything but my best version simply didn't seem correct. I mean, it sounded perfect and all the notes were spot on but it was just way too hard to play and my version needed a capo, whereas Eirik doesn't use one.
I knew that one day I would come back to it. It is all work in progress. And luckily I saw a video of KOC playing this today, and now I've got it. It's all about the tuning, of course.
So, here is the final(?) version of Winning A Battle Losing The War. I hope you like it! :)

I would like to point out that this is how Eirik plays the song, but he plays with Erlend. If you would like to have those extra lower notes for the section "The sun sets on the war, ....." then you can play my earlier version (if you are solo) or you can have a second guitar play some chords and fill in the lower notes.
